Description
The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, implemented through the Integrated Child Development Services Schemes, focuses on the following strategies:
1) Establishing sustained communication in society to promote equal status and education for girls.
2) Raising public awareness to address the declining sex ratio and promote the birth of girls.
3) Developing an integrated and actionable plan with a specific focus on districts and cities with a low girl child birth rate.
4) Coordinating various organizations and service-providing departments at the district, taluka, and lower levels.

Details
1) Various programs are implemented under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign to increase the birth rate of girls, including the Jan Jagran campaign. Activities such as registering expectant mothers, raising public awareness about celebrating the birth of girls, organizing health camps, promoting education for girls, displaying Guddaguddi boards with birth numbers of boys and girls in public places, conducting street plays, and organizing district-level competitions are undertaken. The scheme utilizes Gudda-Guddi boards to raise public awareness and promote the birth of girls in crowded areas like bus stations, railway stations, hospitals, schools, colleges, and taluka offices.
2) The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, implementing by the Women and Child Development Department of the State, aims to increase the child sex ratio in the state.
Methodology
Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign is implemented through a district action team chaired by the collector, responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring at district, taluka, and village levels. The team includes departments such as Health and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development, Social Justice, Education, Panchayat Raj, Village Development, Law and Justice, and representatives from the Indian Medical Association and voluntary organizations.
