The State Govt. sanctioned the setting up of 12868 Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) on 31st march 2006.
As per the GANTT chart issued by the Central Govt., setting up of new AWCs involves several steps including appointment of Supervisors, appointment of Anganwadi Workers, their training, procurement and supply of equipment like weighing scales, registers etc., These activities take 14 months from the sanction of the Central Govt. The table below gives the projectwise position of appointment of Anganwadi Worker, their training. These are two major steps in the process.
